What is a Power of Attorney?

A power of Attorney is a written letter that gives another person the authorization to represent or act in your behalf to deal with private affairs, business or other legal matters.
The person giving the authority is referred to as principal or grantor, while the one authorized to act is the Agent or Attorney in Fact. A power of Attorney needs to be signed by both parties in the presence
of witnesses or a Notarial Services Attorney.
