Trade Secrets in Thailand
Trade Secrets are a highly valuable and protected under the Trade Secrets Act (2002). Any confidential business information with considerable commercial value may be considered a trade secret according to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

Usually the owners of trade secrets take appropriate measures to protect their know-how, for example through non-disclosure agreements and confidentially agreements or through employment agreements with non-disclosure and non-use clauses.

For additional protection, there is however the possibility to record your trade secret with the department of Intellectual Property. This is important, since in case of trade secret violations, Thai Authorities may request a trade secret recording as a form of proof to start with legal proceedings.
